Okeanos Pro marks the debut of Brandenburg Labs‘ state-of-the-art headphone-based Okeanos Systems, powered by the groundbreaking Deep Dive Audio (DDA) technology. Our system is designed to simulate virtual multi-channel loudspeaker systems via headphones. Designed for audio professionals and institutions that demand precision and flexibility, it’s the ideal solution for research and innovation labs, audio engineers and producers, as well as universities and training programs focused on spatial audio.
This B2B solution is ideal for music mixing studios, educational institutions, and research facilities.
The system accurately simulates virtual sound in a clearly localized and precise manner in the room and gives the plausible impression of hearing a real loudspeaker system. Create powerful spatial compositions, precisely place sounds in the sound field and listen to it on different speaker configurations without ever putting down your headphones.
This astounding illusion is achieved by a novel combination of acoustic calibration and interactive, real time auralization. On first use, the product is calibrated to the acoustics of the listening space and reacts dynamically to the exact position and rotation of the user’s head Six Degrees of Freedom (6DoF). This allows important characteristics of real loudspeakers to be simulated and critical decisions to be made for the mix.
Audio engineers & producers
Mix and monitor immersive audio with consistent accuracy, anywhere. Okeanos Pro simulates real loudspeaker systems over headphones, allowing you to make precise spatial decisions and switch between formats effortlessly without relying on a fixed studio setup.
Broadcasters
Deliver high-quality multichannel audio in space-constrained environments. Okeanos Pro enables precise mixing and monitoring without large speaker installations. Ideal for compact studios, mobile production units, or fast-paced broadcast workflows.
Universities & Training Programs
Teach immersive audio in a practical and scalable way. Okeanos Pro gives students hands-on experience with professional spatial audio workflows, without the need for costly and complex studio infrastructure.
Research & Innovation Labs
Accelerate experimentation in spatial audio with maximum flexibility. Okeanos Pro provides a controlled, reproducible environment for immersive audio research while significantly reducing setup complexity and cost.
Use Okeanos Pro just like you would use a set of studio monitors and forget that you are wearing headphones! Thanks to ultra low latency Dante, Ravenna or AES67 connectivity, the system is ready to be integrated into your studio today. The reliable tracking system by HTC Vive fits easily to your favorite headphones, adding an entirely new dimension to them.
Route up to 16 channels of audio to Okeanos Pro and receive two channels of highly immersive binaural audio back in as little as 10ms. All processing happens on the machine, saving precious processing power on your workstation.
An easy-to-use Web User Interface (WebUI) allows you to control your system comfortably from your web browser. Create and switch between your custom configurations at the ease of a click, whether stereo, quadrophonic, 9.1.6 or your very personal custom setup. The intuitive 3D UI will help you to replicate your speaker setup or come up with something entirely new.
Ready for orders, Okeanos Pro enables quick and easy mixing of multichannel content, without the need for costly and complex speaker installations.
The tracker captures the exact position and orientation of the listener’s head in real time. This enables true 6DoF spatial audio, allowing sound sources to remain stable and realistic as the user moves naturally through the listening space.
Lighthouses define the physical space by sweeping the room with infrared signals, continuously tracking the position of the headset and tracker with high precision. They act as fixed reference points that make accurate spatial localization possible.
The PC processes all tracking and audio data in real time. It combines head position with spatial audio rendering (Deep Dive Audio) to generate a highly realistic virtual loudspeaker environment, effectively replacing the need for a physical studio setup.

Realistic virtual speaker environments with highly plausible audio reproduction
Accurate 6DoF Tracking using a sensor that mounts onto your favorite headphones
WebUI control with a user-friendly web interface for comprehensive control and setup, including channel control, 3D monitoring and speaker configuration

Directivity Transfer Function
(DTF) Editor
Shape how Sound behaves in Space
With the new DTF feature, Okeanos Pro can more accurately represent the unique studio design of audio professionals, providing a more accurate simulation and enhanced immersion. Moreover, users benefit from the possibility to evaluate different loudspeakers virtually and simulate unique directivity patterns.
Brandenburg Labs’ new directivity transfer function offers a library of pre-made DTFs. Additionally, users are able to record and edit the DTF of a loudspeaker at six cardinal positions, i.e. front, back, left, right, top, and bottom. Points between the cardinal positions are interpolated at 10 degrees intervals, providing 360 degrees of coverage.

Studio-grade monitoring without physical limitations
Priced at 5,000 € (shipping and taxes not included), the Okeanos Pro system is considerably more affordable than a full 16 channel studio speaker setup, while offering comparable performance.
Okeanos Pro allows you to mix multichannel audio in any studio with unparalleled flexibility, thanks to the independence from physical speakers and room configurations.
Over-the-air updates, with convenient and timely updates to the system’s software, ensuring the system stays up-to-date with the latest features and improvements.
Okeanos Pro comes with comprehensive documentation that provides detailed guidance and support for users.

Lasse Nipkow
Expert in 3D Audio and Immersive Soundscapes
„The Okeanos Pro is a valuable tool for adequately assessing and improving 3D audio mixes. Due to its realistic playback capability, it increases students‘ awareness of how our ears perceive sound and what effect the direction of the individual tracks in the mix has on the consumer.“
Dr. Brecht de Man
Head of Research at PXL University
„PXL-Music is pleased to have the first research lab equipped with Okeanos Pro, now serving as a reference for convincing binaural audio in six degrees of freedom. Beyond the high-quality, neutral, and versatile engine, we especially like the unique feature of sampling and integrating the actual rooms‘ acoustics.“
Gary Gottlieb
Past President of the Audio Engineering Society and Fellow
„I demoed the Okeanos Pro Headphone system at the Headphone Technology Conference, and it was an enlightening experience. In over forty years of mixing I have consistently used headphones for reference. The information I received from them was always helpful, particularly on the timboral and frequency spectrums, however the static nature of headphones made them fall short when evaluating spatial relationships. When I mix without headphones I move my head to assess and adjust the spatial relationships, the static nature of standard headphones made that impossible. With the new system by Brandenburg Labs, I found myself able to assess spatial relationships on headphones as I would on speakers. This is an excellent step forward and I am delighted to support and recommend this product.“
